Whether you’re having a low key night in or an evening BBQ, this Broccoli Salad will have be sure to impress.
It’s quick, fresh, homemade and tossed in an easy creamy dressing. One of the best things about this recipe is you can make it ahead of time, saving yourself one extra thing to do on the day of your event, making it the perfect addition to your next shared table.
Ingredients
Salad
1 large head of broccoli
¼ cup almond silvers
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
½ cup finely chopped Red onion
150g streaky bacon
Dressing
3 and tablespoons cider vinegar
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
Steps
- Mix all the dressing ingredients together in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Break/cut the broccoli into small florets and rinse under water using a colander to ensure they are clean. Shake around in the colander to remove excess water. Place Broccoli into a large salad bowl.
- Toast almonds and sunflower seeds over medium heat until golden. Remove and add to the salad bowl.
- Cook bacon over a medium heat until crispy and golden. Place cooked bacon onto paper towels to drain. Once cooled, cut the bacon into small pieces and add to the salad.
- Place the cranberries and finely chopped red onion into the salad and toss to combine. Drizzle the salad dressing and toss to combine.
